“Leadership is not about being in control, but about creating an environment where everyone can contribute their best.”
The Investiture Ceremony, one of the most prestigious events in the school calendar, was held with great enthusiasm and fervor on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The occasion symbolizes the school’s trust and confidence in its newly elected student leaders as they assume responsibility and pledge to uphold the institution’s values.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by our distinguished guests and select students. This was followed by a graceful welcome dance, Dhanashree Thillana, performed by Saanvi, Vedika, and Pavika of Classes IV and V, setting a serene and festive tone for the event.
In her address, Honourable Head of School, Ms. Sonia Wadhwa, reminded the young council members that they are torchbearers of the school’s ethos. She urged them to embrace their roles with integrity, commitment, and empathy, stressing that leadership is defined by responsibility rather than authority. She also extended heartfelt thanks to parents for their unwavering support and encouragement.
The newly appointed student council — comprising the Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice Head Boy, Vice Head Girl, Sports Captain and Prefect, Cultural Captain and Prefect, Environment Captain and Prefect, SDG Captain and Prefect, Discipline Captains, Head Marshal, House Captains, House Marshals, Vice-Captains, and Class Representatives — was formally invested with badges, sashes, and flags of the four houses: Gandhi, Nehru, Tagore, and Vivekanand. The honors were conferred by Honourable Chairman Sir, Director Sir, Head of School, and faculty members. Parent representatives, Mother of Riaan Singh and Mother of Saisha Verma, graced the occasion as Special Guests.
The oath-taking ceremony was led by Head Boy Shivansh Kawatra, with all council members solemnly pledging to uphold the school motto Service Before Self, fulfill their duties with sincerity, and adhere to school rules. Dressed immaculately in their uniforms, sashes, badges and ties the council members took the oath with evident pride and resolve.
The ceremony concluded with the uplifting song Together We Shine, followed by the School Song Hum Hain Salwanian. School Chairman Shri Michael Dias addressed the gathering, highlighting the values of impartiality, honesty, unity, discipline, and morality in effective leadership. He congratulated both students and parents for their dedication and hard work.
A vote of thanks was delivered by the School Literary Captain on behalf of the student council, who pledged to lead with commitment and dedication.
