Report on the Demo Function: KG Class

On Thursday, 10th July, and Friday, 11thJuly, a Demo Function was held at our school, offering parents an opportunity to gain valuable insight into their children’s classroom learning and development. The event aimed to foster closer collaboration between parents and teachers, allowing them to witness firsthand how the learning process unfolds and how their children are progressing. 

The theme for the Demo Function was “My Self,” with various activities woven around this concept. The children performed with great enthusiasm and confidence, displaying their skills across a variety of subjects. 

 The sequence of the program was as follows: 

    Prayer:   

The event began with a serene prayer, setting a peaceful and focused tone for the day. Children, standing in neat rows, sang the prayer while the parents looked on, filled with pride at seeing their children start the day with such positive energy. 

  English – CVC Words:   

The children demonstrated their understanding of consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC) words .They confidently read words showcasing their progress in reading and language development. 

Hindi – Vyanjans Presentation  

 Next, the children confidently identified and pronounced the vyanjans, enhancing their Hindi language skills in front of an encouraging audience. Followed by a lively song – Brush, Brush, brush your teeth depicting good habits. 

Maths – The children demonstrated their numerical abilities by reciting numbers from 1 to 10 in an interesting way using number line. 

EVS – Body Parts and Sense Organs 

The highlight of the session was identification of body parts ,their functions through PPT Recapitulation of sense organs and their functions was done using real objects followed by a melodious song – Head, shoulders, knees and toes .The performance was full of energy, and highlighted the theme of Myself and hygiene, further reinforcing the day’s learnings. 

 

The Demo Function was an enriching experience for both parents and children. Parents had the unique opportunity to see the progress their children are making in various subjects, while the children gained confidence from performing in front of their parents. The event successfully demonstrated the importance of collaboration between school and home in a child’s educational journey, ensuring that the concepts taught in class are reinforced and understood in a practical, enjoyable manner. 

The Demo Function ended with a round of applause from the parents, who were clearly impressed with their children’s development and the hard work put in by the teachers to nurture their growth.
