At Salwan, the endeavour is to provide an inclusive and an enabling environment to all children with varied needs. We firmly believe that each and every child has the ability to learn and maximize his/her potential through adequate learning opportunities, effective teaching and appropriate resources.
A special speaking session was conducted for the students of Classes III–V on the theme “Ill Effects of Ganesha Visarjan and Eco-Friendly Ways of Celebration.”
The session highlighted how immersion of idols made of plaster of Paris and chemical colors harms aquatic life and pollutes our water bodies. Students were encouraged to adopt eco-friendly practices such as bringing home clay idols, using natural colors, and opting for symbolic visarjan at home. The interactive discussion sensitized the young learners to celebrate the festival with devotion while also protecting our environment.
