Annual Day Celebration – Anubhuti 2025: A Cultural Kaleidoscope

The Annual Day celebration of Salwan Junior School was held with great enthusiasm and splendour on Sunday, 12th October 2025, at the Air Force Auditorium, Subroto Park. The event, titled “Anubhuti 2025 – An Immersive Experience of Rhythmic Movements, Melodies, and Music,” was a vibrant reflection of the school’s vision of fostering holistic growth through culture, creativity, and collaboration.

The evening commenced with a warm welcome to the esteemed guests — Sh. Charanjit Singh, former Indian Forest Service Officer, and Sh. Vikram Singh Dahiya, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Railways, Government of India. The dignitaries were accorded a green welcome by Chairman Sh. Michal Dias and Director Sh. J. N. Chopra, symbolizing the school’s commitment to sustainability and value-based education.

The celebration began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, signifying the triumph of knowledge over ignorance. The auditorium resonated with positivity as the sacred flame illuminated the path for an evening dedicated to art, learning, and reflection.

The Annual School Report was then presented by the Head Boy, Head Girl, and Student Council members, highlighting the institution’s milestones in academics, innovation, co-curricular excellence, and community engagement. Their presentation embodied the school’s philosophy of nurturing confidence, compassion, and creativity among young learners.

The highlight of the evening was the cultural presentation, Anubhuti — inspired by the life and teachings of the great Sufi saint Bulleh Shah. Through a mesmerizing blend of music, dance, and drama, students portrayed the eternal bond between the Guru and the disciple, emphasizing the timeless message of love, unity, and spiritual awakening. The performance beautifully conveyed that true learning transcends all barriers of religion, caste, and creed, and that the Guru’s guidance remains ever relevant in the modern era dominated by technology.

Complementing the performances, an art exhibition titled “Bulleh Shah’s Art Gallery” was displayed at the venue entrance. The gallery showcased paintings and sketches created by students, each inspired by the theme of the event. This thoughtful inclusion ensured that every child participated in Anubhuti 2025, either through stage performance or artistic contribution.

The distinguished guests appreciated the creativity, discipline, and thematic depth displayed by the students. They lauded the school for promoting value-based education and providing meaningful platforms for experiential learning.

A heartfelt reflection was shared by Mr. Manish Anand, father of the Head Boy, who expressed gratitude to the school management and teachers for nurturing students through such enriching experiences.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Head Girl, Srishtee Chadha, and Vice Head Girl, Shatakshi Vishal, who expressed gratitude to the school management, teachers, parents, and students for their support and cooperation. The celebration ended on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, filling the auditorium with pride and joy.

Anubhuti 2025 was not merely a cultural event but a journey of emotion, creativity, and enlightenment. It reaffirmed Salwan Junior School’s belief that education is not confined to classrooms but is an experience that nurtures the mind, heart, and soul — a true celebration of art, learning, and the timeless bond between teacher and disciple.
