Mental Health Webinar
A webinar on the mental health of children, facilitated for parents by Dr. Roshni Mehta.

Many stories. One Salwan.
A Salwan education is built together. It is a close-knit community of young learners and their parents, dedicated teachers, and returning alumni, bound by a shared belief in nurturing every child through their foundational years.

At the heart of Salwan Junior School are our learners, who are curious, joyful, and full of wonder. Every child, from Nursery to Class V, finds a stage to sing, dance, ask questions, and develop a sense of being while remaining part of a friendly circle. Learning is interactive and enjoyable, fostering character and self-assurance at a young age.

A child’s early education is a wholesome partnership between the parent and school community, and parents at SJS participate as a joint family in its truest sense. Through Parent-Teacher Meetings, Parent Assemblies, and an active Parent-Teacher Association, families stay close to the journey — sharing in milestones, shaping the school’s culture, and standing alongside their children every step of the way.

Behind every confident young learner is a teacher who believed in them first. Through the school’s Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme, our faculty learn, innovate, and refine their practice every single year — because, as the school holds, if knowledge is power, then learning is superpower.

Once a Salwanian, always a Salwanian. Our alumni are achieving remarkable feats in every walk of life, and many return to give back to society and their school — some as proud parents and some as teacher educators. After SJS, many continue to Salwan Public School, Rajendra Nagar, and later join the Salwan Public School Old Students Association (SPOSA), staying woven into the story they helped write. Alumni stay in touch with the school and contribute to it by being —

Every Salwan family — new or returning, child or grandparent — has a standing invitation to stay involved. Whether presenting at a parent assembly, joining the PTA, or narrating a story to a class of little listeners, the door is always open.

The bond between home and school begins at orientation and carries on well beyond Class V, with many alumni returning through SPOSA to give back to the school that shaped their foundational years.
Wherever you are in the journey — applying for the first time, raising a young Salwanian, or returning as an alumnus — there is a place for you here.
